Job Description:
Description Scope of Work: WPI Product Support Sales
Representatives are professional salespersons possessing an
in-depth knowledge of our company, its products, services, and
support programs. The PSSR should be positive, professional, and
promote WPI. PSSR will be assigned a territory and/or accounts and
is expected to contact customers and recommend parts, services, and
attachments provided by WPI’s manufacturers and WPI. Primary Job
Responsibilities: As a PSSR you will prepare and follow as closely
as possible a weekly itinerary A Product Support Sales
Representative will prepare daily call reports and other
information, entered in CRM Series to be reviewed by District
Managers and Director of Director of Non-OEM Strategies A Product
Support Sales Representative will act as a go-between for the
customer and WPI's parts and service departments. A Product Support
Sales Representative will make customer contact on a regular basis
to ensure customers are aware of the PSSR role. Attend training
when available from Manufacture and WPI A Product Support Sales
Representative will provide product leads and communications with a
unit sales representative. Stay up to date on new product support
offerings made available by WPI's Manufacture and WPI A Product
Support Sales Representative will quote customers’ parts and
service jobs as required coordinating with parts and service.
Coordinate customer complaints, such as Manufacturer's warranty,
policy adjustments, parts prices, etc., with the respective person
in each department. Inspect & evaluate customer’s equipment, as
required, for customer satisfaction. Develop customer profiles for
assigned customers. Deliver Extended Warranty contracts and oil
analyzer kits to customers as required. Perform other duties as
assigned. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Must have a High
School Diploma or equivalent, a bachelor’s degree in applied
discipline is preferred. Must have a minimum of 4 years of previous
experience. Relevant post-secondary education, internships, or
formal training may be considered toward the required experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Successful Product Support Sales
Representatives understand how their role contributes to the
overall success of the business and are motivated by meeting clear
performance goals. They operate with professionalism, integrity,
and respect for company policies, safety standards, and customer
expectations. This role requires the ability to work independently
while managing a territory and maintaining regular contact with
assigned customers. Strong organization and time management are
important, including the ability to plan a productive weekly
schedule, maintain accurate customer records in CRM systems, and
follow through consistently on open opportunities. Strong
communication and relationship-building skills are essential.
Product Support Sales Representatives interact regularly with
customers, technicians, parts personnel, and management, often
serving as the link between the customer and WPI’s internal teams.
The ability to listen, ask thoughtful questions, and help
coordinate solutions is critical. Successful candidates are
comfortable spending significant time in the field visiting
jobsites and customer locations. They are observant and able to
recognize opportunities to support customers through parts,
service, and equipment solutions that help keep machines working
and minimize downtime. This position also requires dependability,
professional presentation, and the ability to represent WPI
positively with customers and within the community. Maintaining
strong client relationships and protecting company assets and
interests are key expectations of the role. The position involves
regular travel within the assigned territory and occasional
overnight travel as required. Work hours may vary based on customer
needs. Candidates should be comfortable working in and around
equipment environments and capable of performing normal physical
activities associated with field visits, including lifting up to 50
pounds and bending or twisting during equipment inspections. WPI is
