Job Description:

Quality Assurance Supervisor (full-time, one position) Owens-Brockway Glass Container, Inc. seeks in Laredo, TX to audit inventories to verify finished goods are within product specification guidelines. Hire, train, and supervise re-select/repack crews at various project locations. Direct training for new hires to learn company's proprietary quality control procedures and manage training program for quality control at Laredo warehouse facility. Recommend changes in sampling methods of O-I's affiliate products. Take corrective actions to maintain quality process. Apply quality controls to achieve objectives. Must have Bachelor's Degree or (foreign equivalent) in Industrial Engineering or related field, plus 3 years of experience in glass manufacturing. The 3 years must include experience identifying glass defects and patterns of defects; determining source of defects; and taking corrective actions to maintain quality processes. In lieu of a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent), we will accept a Bachelor's Degree (or foreign equivalent) earned through any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience, as determined by a professional evaluation service. All experience may be acquired concurrently. Domestic and international travel will be required based on project needs, to be reimbursed by employer.
