Job Description:

BRH-Garver is looking for a Project Control Specialist to provide support, guidance, and oversight for one of our projects in Laredo, Texas. The Project Control Specialist will be lead the forecasting, scheduling, and reporting of the project during all phases of the project lifecycle. Partnering with the Project Manager, a successful candidate will be able to convert the project execution schedule to a monthly forecast, review forecast variances, and report on the project performance on a monthly basis.Duties & Responsibilities:Compile, analyze, and report project cost and schedule data for a portfolio of projectsDevelop Project specific Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS), and align them to Corporate Standard WBS and Cost of Account Codes.Provide support to master schedule development from owner perspective (full project view)Establish project cost budget tracking, report variances and trends to support early identification of project overruns.Provide support to track project progress and perform analysis of bottlenecks, trends, critical path and productivity analysis.Facilitate, coordinate and support the project risks management process.Prepare project status presentations, highlighting key accomplishments, risks, and changesDevelop custom projects reports as needed to facilitate project discussionsProduce S-Curves and trend analysisDevelop and adhere to Project Controls PlanConsolidate project cost data and supporting documentation from all ongoing projects in the portfolioDevelop reports on actuals, variances, trends and re-forecast as necessaryDevelop and maintain detailed Cash flow and Commitment flow throughout the project phasesReview and validate contractual compliance of program invoices (not attributed to a specific project)Assist project manager in financial project close-outAt the completion of the project, develop and ensure recording of the project's historical cost information and "lessons learned" for future usePrepare Owners project cost estimates in conjunction with project management personnel.Constantly looking for ways to improve project controls practices and processes from the owners perspective.Other duties as assigned by managementRequirements & Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in accounting requiredKnowledge of the civil construction industry preferredMust have minimum 2 years' experience as a Project Control SpecialistExperience with Microsoft officeExperience with Sage preferredStrong written, verbal, interpersonal skills.
