Laredo Medical Center is looking for a Switchboard Operator - PRN. This position operates a switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Reports to PBX Supervisor.

Position's Purpose and Essential Functions:

Operates a switchboard or telephone console to route incoming calls and place outgoing calls. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Reports to PBX Supervisor.

Applicant's Job Requirements Include:

Education:

• Preferred: High School graduate or equivalent
  Experience:
  
  • Required: Dependable person with strong interpersonal, telephone and communication skills.
  • Required: Bilingual in both Spanish and English required.
  • Preferred: Six (6) months to one (1) year experience.
