ResponsibilitiesJOB SUMMARY:Admissions Rep/Registrar registers patients by requesting demographic information along with their insurance information.JOB FUNCTIONS: The Admissions Rep/Registrar collects patient's information in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. Ensures that all existing information in the SMS PIDX is updated and that all existing information is verified for accuracy. Utilizes the SMS HDX insurance verification software for all contracted payors. Responsible to upgrade all pre-registered patient's cases in a timely manner when they present for services and ensures their timely department arrival for treatment. Accepts payments for hospital services, may function as PBX Operator as needed. May, on occasion, assist a patient by wheeling them into the area in a wheelchair or assisting them as they walk to the area.QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:High School Diploma or equivalent required.Prior admission experience preferred.Bilingual English/Spanish required.Must be able to work rotating shifts.EEO StatementAll UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
