-Eligibility Coordinator
SUMMARY: Responsible for overseeing the activities, including case management, contracted performance goals and objectives are met. Has knowledge in Workforce center programs and Child Care Services. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: 1. Adhere to the mission of SERCO. 2. Responsible for reaching monthly performance goals for customer activity and expenditures. 3. Reconcile performance issues with goals on the Monthly Report provided by the Data Analyst ensuring that all program goals and objectives are met. 4. Meet and correspond regularly with Child Care staff to review program activities; provide technical assistance on updated childcare rules and regulations; address program and performance issues. 5. Coordinate development of procedures and policies for each function and initiate updates as required. 6. Will supply center management with information regarding center and individual staff performance output. 7. Will work closely with the Center for Regional Services partners to ensure maximum customer benefit. 8. Network with community partners to promote Center for Regional Services activities. 9. Coordinate and implement cross training. 10. Recommend staff development courses to center management. 11. Assist with meeting the child care performance set by TWC and WSBV Board. 12. Take timely and appropriate corrective action with staff as needed. 13. Provides step-by-step written and oral guidance for achievement of excellence in the selected areas. 14.Identifies best practices among SERCO managed workforce centers and communicates findings to SERCO management as well as throughout the SERCO workforce center network. 15.Additionally, responsible for dissemination of this information to contractors through regular communication and technical assistance trainings. 16.Receives and reviews application materials and other source documents for accuracy, completeness and consistency. 17.Reviews and oversees the work of staff engaged in verifying processes and procedures in order to assure that customers are eligible for child care services. 18.Reviews the processes through data gathering, data review and analysis, document review, verification, criteria/development, and preparation of work papers. 19.Identify and report, to the operations manager, data which does not meet eligibility criteria. 20. Assigns cases to Eligibility specialists 21. Monitors tracking sheet to ensure all cases are completed timely 22.Works with confidential material and ensures that information is protected/secured as mandated by local, state, and federal policy. 23.Perform other duties as assigned. - EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • A four-year college degree with major emphasis in Business or the Social/Behavioral Sciences preferred.
  • Three years job training experience or similar activities involving individual counseling and case management.
  • Familiar and sensitive to the unique needs of economically disadvantaged individuals and families of diverse ethnic backgrounds.
  • Must have strong, effective oral and written communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. - - SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Must possess a valid Texas Drivers License and provide automobile liability insurance as required by the State of Texas. 2. Must have access to reliable transportation in order to travel within service area. 3. Must be computer literate and have Microsoft Word and Excel skills at a minimum with the ability to learn specialized databases and software systems. 4.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong management and organizational skills; ability to work across all levels of management and staff. 5.Must be knowledgeable about community resources and able to work with and relate to clients 6. Must have three (3) years of experience as an eligibility specialist or case management - Must have Physical demands and work environment: The physical demands and work environment characteristics describe here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. - 1. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of the job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; for long periods of time. Employee must be able to drive for extended periods of time. Employees must occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, must be able to set up display area. - 2.
