Job Description:

Job description This position will address overage, shortage, and damage issues; research causes of claims; analyze root causes; determine resolutions; and communicate findings to management.Duties/Responsibilities

  • Performing daily OS & D audit
  • Identify overages, shortages and damaged freight
  • Receive and enter unloading exceptions
  • Communicate with other service centers and/or shippers for missing paperwork or freight.
  • Analyze claim data to find root causes of loss and damage claims
  • Work with other departments to determine corrective measures to prevent future claims
  • Daily report monitoring
  • Interface with both internal and external customers
  • Request documentation and information needed from carriers to resolve claims, or letters of denial
  • Handle the disposition of the OS&D freight with the shipper
  • Answer OS&D calls from shippers
  • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
  • Contact customers to discuss or resolve OS&D/On-hand issues
  • Generate OS&D reports and complete all necessary paperwork
  • Billing-OS&D/On-hand; execute on hands and refusals
  • Issue legal notices of undeliverable freightRequirements
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and business etiquette (customer service)
    • Proficient Computer Skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint)
    • At least 2 years of customer service experience within the freight industry is highly preferred
    • Experience in the application of regulatory compliance
    • Ability to read and interpret industry related reports and data
