Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PACU - Post Anesthesia Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/10/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with TX or compact RN license and at least two years of acute care experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) within a hospital setting - Care for pediatric through geriatric patient populations recovering from surgical procedures - 48-hour work weeks structured as 5 x 8 hour shifts, scheduled 6am - 3pm, with after-hours as needed - Float as required within surgical services - Expected to assist with the assessment and maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory - Responsible for direct care and monitoring of surgical patients in the PACU - Maintain communication with surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout the patient’s recovery - Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and operational for surgical cases - Supportive team environment reporting to the Surgical Services Director - No local candidates accepted; must reside at least 100 miles from the facility - COVID and Flu vaccination documentation may be required - Basic computer knowledge desirable /n /n Requirements/n - Active TX or compact RN license with no pending status - Minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience in the United States - Recent PACU and Operating Room experience required - Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and CPI (AHA only) - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing - Ability to read and communicate effectively in English - Must provide two manager or supervisor references from the previous twelve months, with at least one from the most recent employer /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-627337.
