Job Description:

This position reports to the Sames Auto Arena's Director of Operations. This position oversees and supervises the full and part time team members for Operations and contracted work forces for the entire facility. This position's primary responsibly is planning and directing the execution of exhibit hall & meeting room events and related activity.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Works closely with the Event Coordinators, Maintenance dept., Food and Beverage Dept. and Clients to develop time lines, schedules and action plans for event set-up and services.
* Schedules and instructs the crews in the set-up, additions and changes, striking and tear down of Events. Reads, interprets and executes CAD drawings, floor plans and layouts as needed. Makes frequent inspections to insure correct set-up. Schedules and oversees the changeover of the facility from one event to another.
* Responsible for cleaning, minor maintenance and proper storage of all operational event equipment and furniture including motorized equipment.
*Responsible for maintaining the required to maintain facilities overall cleanliness to highest standard using Green Cleaning methods and techniques.
* Responsible for maintaining Sames Auto Arena's exhibit halls, ball room, dock area and 'back of house' orderliness and cleanliness in a first class manner.
* Develops and implements training and orientation of new employees, assist with continuing education and training sessions for existing employees, monitors employees progress and performs employee evaluations.
* Responsible for all consumable supplies including purchasing, inventory controls, determining usage needs and product selection. Keeps and maintains MSDS and other OSHA records in accordance with OSHA standards
* Expected to resolve employee conflicts by reference to general work instructions, Union contract and ASM Global's policies and procedures. Informs Union representative of disciplinary or other problems with union members and responsible for administering disciplinary procedures.
* Ability to process computerized timecard system on biweekly basis
* Compiles information and generates documentation for event wrap up information and work studies, tracks and monitors employees' time cards and employee productivity, implements changes for increased productivity.
* Assist Director of Operations in developing a departmental budget and responsible for operating within that budget
* Keeps Director of Operations fully informed of day to day operations
* Works closely with clients and the general public and represents the facility in communicating building policies with clients regarding set-up, move in/out, and over all facility policies.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The following requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or the ability required. Education and/or Experience: Three (3) years of operational management/supervision within a public assembly facility, Graduation from an accredited University; A good knowledge of tools, materials, and event equipment used in event production; skill in the techniques of handling the tools and event equipment used in a variety of events and shows. Language Skills: Must possess excellent oral and interpersonal skills. Should also possess excellent written communication skills and computer operating skills (Microsoft Office). Reasoning Ability: Must posse excellent organizational skills. Must have the ability to work from CAD drawings, other types of working drawings and event checklists. Manager should also have the ability to read blue prints.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Manager must possess a valid driver's license. Manager should have fork lift operators' certificate or be able to obtain one.
Physical Demands: Manager should be able to lift 50lb. A physical presence is required in many areas of the facility and Manager should have mobility.
Work Environment: The work of this class involves evening, weekend, and holiday work with short turn around deadlines.
