After all, it---s always sunny in Laredo, Texas.Job Summary:KGNS-TV, in Laredo, TX, is looking for a Director of Sales to lead its Broadcast and Digital sales operations. This position is responsible for the performance of KGNS-TV (NBC, TELEMUNDO ABC, CBS and CW affiliate) including all television and digital sales components. We are seeking a "game changer" and proven leader who can communicate a vision, while developing a sales team to generate extraordinary growth. The D.O.S. should be proficient in inventory analysis, control and pricing; revenue forecasting, and budgeting; account strategy; product training; and energetic, candid and focused team development. Qualified candidates must have excellent organizational, presentation, leadership and interpersonal skills with a high sense of urgency and ability to deliver results as well as Understanding and proficiency in both Spanish language and General Market marketing strategies.Responsibilities will include the following:- Manage DSM, RSM and LSM and oversee all sales activities creating a high-performing, fun and successful team environment- Directly manage National clients --- Rate negotiating and rating analysis- Manage departmental budget- Interface with Traffic System and personnel- Manage and price inventory --- Building Rate Cards, LUR Tracking- Develop creative and effective client solutions with the Marketing Director- Use KGNS/KYLX and Gray Television television---s networks and digital advertising solutions as the foundation of marketing campaigns to grow revenue in local, regional markets- Provide on-going training to further enhance team performance and ensure team meets and/or exceeds goals- Communicate sales activities with senior leadership and report on sales metrics, forecasts, budget variance and other key sales metrics ---- Represent KGNS and Gray Television in the business community by attending local events and building relationships with key decision makers- Forecasting Revenue- Building budgets, tracking progress by monitoring revenue, pending and development- Final approval on negotiations outside the Standard negotiation standards- Conflict resolution for staff, clients and agencies when needed- Management of Aging and Collection standardsRequirements- 3-5 years of media advertising experience- Knowledge of ComScore, Matrix and Wide Orbit is preferred- Ability to travel during the year- Strong leadership, motivational and sales skills with a proven track record of success- Highly organized and able to multi-task in an extremely fast paced environment- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and all levels of personnel- Valid driver---s license and clean driving recordRandom drug tests are performed during employment--- Come join our team, apply online at https://gray.tv/careerscurrentopenings by searching the station call letters (KGNS-TV) and attach resumeKGNS-TV and Gray Television are Equal Opportunity Employers.
